CalWorks & CalFresh Payment Dates January 2026: When You Get Your Benefits

CalWorks (cash assistance) and CalFresh (SNAP/food stamps) are deposited onto EBT cards in California.

Where to Check Payment Status

  • California EBT Cardholder Portal: caebt.org

  • Your county’s social services/human services website (e.g., LA County DPSS, SF Human Services)

  • Customer service: 1-877-328-9677 (EBT customer service)
     

CalWorks Payment Date – January 2026

  • CalWorks benefits are loaded between January 1 and January 3, 2026.

  • Funds are available on your EBT card by the end of the day on your assigned date.

  2. Case number ends in 2 → Benefits available January 2, 2026

  3. Case number ends in 3 → Benefits available January 3, 2026

  4. Case number ends in 4 → Benefits available January 4, 2026

  5. Case number ends in 5 → Benefits available January 5, 2026

  6. Case number ends in 6 → Benefits available January 6, 2026

  7. Case number ends in 7 → Benefits available January 7, 2026

  8. Case number ends in 8 → Benefits available January 8, 2026

  9. Case number ends in 9 → Benefits available January 9, 2026

  10. Case number ends in 0 → Benefits available January 10, 2026


Can You Change Your Payment Date?

  • No, CalFresh and CalWorks payment dates are fixed by case number and cannot be changed.

  • However, you can update your contact information to ensure you receive notices and avoid delays.
