Florida TCA October 2025: Payment Schedule Amid Inflation & Government Shutdown

As October 2025 gets underway, many Florida families are keeping a close eye on Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) payments, especially as rising inflation and a looming federal government shutdown could influence household budgets.

TCA helps families with children meet essential needs and achieve self-sufficiency, but understanding eligibility and payment schedules is crucial this month.

Florida TCA Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for TCA, recipients must meet specific criteria:

  • Time limits: Adults may receive cash assistance for up to 48 months in their lifetime.

  • Work rules: Some participants must engage in work-related activities unless exempt.

  • Income: Gross household income must be below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level.

  • Citizenship & residency: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or qualified non-citizens living in Florida.

  • Social Security number: Required for both parents and children, or proof of application.

  • Relationship: The child must live in a household maintained by a parent or blood relative.

  • Education compliance (Learnfare): Children ages 6–18 must attend school, and parents must participate in school conferences.

October 2025 TCA Payment Schedule

Unlike other benefits with a fixed date, Florida TCA deposits are spread over the first 10 business days of the month.

Families can confirm the exact date through their ACCESS Florida account or the official myflfamilies.com portal.
